EDWIN VALENTIN

Edwin Valentin is a legal assistant with Monteiro & Fishman LLP, and a licensed Notary Public and Process Server. He has worked for Monteiro & Fishman LLP since its inception.

A legal professional since 1993, Mr. Valentin brings decades of legal expertise to Monteiro & Fishman LLP. He has assisted individuals with all types of matters - from traffic criminal, divorce, landlord/tenant, and real estate matters to filing for bankruptcy under chapters 7 and 13. Before joining Monteiro & Fishman LLP, Mr. Valentin worked in the bankruptcy department at Berkman, Henoch, Peterson & Peddy PC which represented several leading financial institutions like Citibank N.A., J.P. Morgan Chase Bank and the Bank of New York, along with municipalities like the Town of Hempstead and The Incorporated Village of Hempstead.

Mr. Valentin is fluent is both Spanish and English. He understands that many people of Spanish descent who immigrated to this country have difficulty understanding the United States laws. A compassionate professional, Mr. Valentin prides himself on his abilities to listen and understand the firm’s clients, and working with the firm’s attorneys, guiding those clients with their legal matters from beginning to end.
